Mark is a retired Partner of Accenture, a leading global business consulting firm. 

Mark was a first-generation college student and put himself through college at Illinois State University, graduating in 1984 with a degree in Applied Computer Science. 

After graduation, Mark joined Accenture in the St. Louis office.  Mark was the engagement partner for several large clients such as Anthem, CareFirst, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Highmark, and Trigon Blue Cross Blue Shield where he led several 200-300 person Business Integration programs.   Mark retired from Accenture in 2004.

In retirement, Mark ran a youth baseball organization consisting of 10 teams ranging from 9U to 17U.  He also owned and operated an indoor youth baseball facility.  Mark is a musician and played in his church’s worship band for several years.

For the past 10 years, Mark has been guest-lecturing in personal finance classes at several local high schools in Ohio, and at several universities including ISU, Florida State University, and Auburn University.  Mark is currently working with Florida State and Illinois State to expand their personal finance programs to reach more students. 

Mark and his wife Julie sponsor scholarships at several high schools and universities.  They established the first Dean’s Scholarship in the ISU College of Business.  Their philanthropic efforts also include the Boys and Girls Club of West Chester/Liberty where Mark is on the BGCWCL Board, CityLink which provides job training and life skills training to low-income residents, and Golden Endings who rescue Golden Retrievers – four of which have joined the Dunaway family over the years.

Mark and Julie reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.  They have two adult children, Katie and Alex.  Mark and Julie enjoy traveling and attending concerts.  Mark also enjoys golf, snow skiing, wake surfing, and is an avid outdoorsman.
