The College of Business and the University of Paderborn, Germany have signed an agreement for a transfer degree program. Under this agreement, ISU business majors can study business at Paderborn during their junior year. They will then finish their senior year at ISU. They will receive a bachelor degree both from Paderborn and ISU after completion of all coursework. Paderborn students can enter the MBA program at ISU in their fifth year of study. After completion of their work at ISU and Paderborn they will receive an MBA from ISU and a Masters in Business Administration from Paderborn. The College of Business and the University of Paderborn have had a long relationship both for student and faculty exchanges.
While completing his business degree, Jerry Wirth '88 didn't envision the challenges he'd face as an entrepreneur in the Baltic States. ISU empowered him to withstand corruption and build an international business that now thrives.
After connecting with fellow College of Business Alumni Hall of Fame member Mike Richard '75, senior vice president and treasurer for McDonald's Corporation, an international medical care project to help Latvian children was born.
