Business Association

business administration associationThe main goal of the Business Association is to provide social and professional opportunities for students who are interested in business. The club conducts regular meetings, hosts company tours, organizes professional speakers, contributes to charitable events, and sponsors social activities. Membership is open to all business majors who demonstrate an interest in business. Social skills and professional networking are two main successes of this club.

International Business Club

International Business ClubThe purpose of the International Business Club is to promote interest in, and a better understanding of, the international business field. IBC is open to all majors.

Activities offered throughout the year include, corporate speakers on internship opportunities, education on study abroad opportunities, company tours, and conferences about international business. Through peers, professors, and professionals, you will find friendship, contacts, and gain an overall understanding of the national and international world of business.

Along with staying current on international news, we will learn about other business cultures through trivia, stories, and videos. We will partake in volunteer work and fundraising, and have various social events. We will also have guest speakers and information about IB careers.

Society for Human Resource Management

Society for Human Resources ManagementThe Society for Human Resource Management is the world's largest professional society devoted to HRM. The student chapter works with the local SHRM chapter to educate, inform, and provide networking opportunities for their active members. Illinois State student membership in SHRM includes a subscription to HR Magazine, to HR News, and membership in the Bloomington-Normal Human Resource Council. The local chapter provides speakers, socials, community involvement, and other activities that prepare students for the professional working world. The ISU student chapter earned a superior merit award from the national office for the sixth consecutive year in 2007!

Sigma Iota Epsilon (Co-ed Management Honorary Fraternity)

Sigma Iota EpsilonSigma Iota Epsilon is an honorary and professional fraternity for management and business administration majors. Its purpose is to recognize scholastic excellence and to promote cooperation between the academic and practical aspects of management. An initiation ceremony is held every semester, which includes a guest speaker discussing a current topic in the management field. Undergraduates must have a GPA of at least 3.2 and graduates must have a GPA of at least 3.6 in order to join.

Beta Gamma Sigma

Beta Gamma SigmaBeta Gamma Sigma is the national scholastic honor society in the field of business administration recognized by AACSB International -– The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. A formal induction ceremony is held each spring to recognize the scholastic achievements of individual students. To be eligible for membership, students' academic rankings must place them in the upper 10 percent of the junior class, upper 10 percent of the senior class, or upper 20 percent of the graduate/master class. The ISU Chapter was named an exemplary chapter in 2006 and 2007.

Business Week Since the mid-1970's the College of Business at Illinois State University has annually sponsored Business Week. It brings corporate and industry leaders to campus to speak on important issues, trends, and developments that affect American Business. The organization was founded in 2015 by a group of students who wanted to foster a Christ centered organization that encourages service through Christ and leadership in business. The purpose of Christian Business Leaders is to provide Illinois State students a place to gather to express their beliefs with other like minded students and develop professionally and spiritually.  CBL gives the opportunity to network with Christian business professionals and grow in their faith.

Delta Sigma Pi

Delta Sigma PiDelta Sigma Pi (Co-ed Professional Business Fraternity)

Delta Sigma Pi is a coed professional business fraternity that provides extensive professional, community service, fundraising, and social programs. Students have the opportunity to obtain a great reputation with the community, campus and professional industry, while making some of the greatest friends one will ever have. DSP believes in success and continued education. This is a highly involved and very interactive organization. All business and economic majors that have at least 3 semesters remaining and at least a 2.5 GPA are eligible for membership. Delta Sigma Pi was named the 2005-2006 ISU Student Organization of the Year.

Phi Gamma Nu is a coed professional business fraternity that strives to promote its three pillars: professional, philanthropy, and social. The Delta Chi Chapter was founded on April of 2014 making it the newest business fraternity on campus. We aim for excellence and the need to enhance our professional development through resume critiques, mock interviews, and networking with surrounding companies and alumni. Phi Gamma Nu believes in the civic responsibility to organize and participate in community outreach, volunteering, and raising money for local charities. We also emphasize on the importance of brotherhood within our chapter by encouraging leadership and forming lifelong bonds with one another.

Pi Sigma Epsilon

PSEPi Sigma Epsilon is the only national, professional fraternal organization in sales, marketing, and management in the United States. The Delta Omega chapter of Illinois State was chartered on April 11, 1992. Here on campus, we have 80+ members and are rated one of the top chapters in the nation every year. We participate in multiple projects locally dealing with marketing, community service, professional development, among other areas. We provide business experience with mock interviews, resume critiques and much more. Also, we hold numerous social activities to form bonds among our members with similar interests.

Women in Business

Women in Business focuses on empowering women to achieve their potential in the business world. We are a group of women at Illinois State University that drive professional and personal development, specifically through understanding and proactively preparing for the current trends and attitudes faced in the workplace.
