The Means Center Accelerator program provides year-round support for Illinois State University student entrepreneurs. It consists of three components:
1) Identifying students with entrepreneurial ideas across campus.
2) Enrolling students who are developing startup ideas into a formal support program.
3) Providing ongoing resources and advice to enrolled students and alumni.
Students must apply to the Accelerator program. The Center Directors decide which students will enter the program after conducting an interview to gauge interest, commitment, and idea viability. Our goal is to admit students with ideas that show the promise of becoming viable businesses that can attract funding from private investors.
We connect students with mentors, provide financial support, and coach them as they take their idea from conception to funding.
