
E-Day 2012Illinois State University Entrepreneurship Day (E-Day) consists of a business plan competition, a creative idea competition, and a keynote speaker and is hosted by the George R. and Martha Means Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, Department of Management and Quantitative Methods, and the College of Business.
E-Day will take place on Friday - November 9, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Illinois State University Alumni Center. Teams will compete for an estimated $20,000.00 in funding and in-kind prizes to help jump-start their ventures. All current undergraduate and graduate students of Illinois State University, Heartland Community College, Illinois Wesleyan University, and Lincoln College are eligible to compete.
The competition is not limited to those with established teams. If you are interested in competing join us for our team up event at the Bone Student Center - Old Main 6:00pm on Friday, September 21 where idea and skill students will form venture teams to compete for the startup funds. Free pizza and pop while it lasts.
Participants and attendees will have the opportunity to network and connect with venture capitalists, angel investors, incubator managers, practicing entrepreneurs and business professionals.
E-Day is an event to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit of Illinois State University's, Heartland Community College's, Illinois Wesleyan University's, and Lincoln College's undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, E-Day is an event to facilitate student companies soliciting start-up funds from early-stage investors and venture capital firms.

You'll hear all about the competition and have an opportunity to build or join a team to compete for the cash and prizes. If you're an idea student come prepared with a one minute pitch of your idea and know what skills your looking to add to your team. If you're a skill student looking to join a winning team come prepared to talk about your skills - in the past the most sought after skills have been things like computer programing, graphic design, general design, engineering, business writing, accounting, finance and many more. If you already have a team just come to check out the competition. You won't want to miss this.
