Christophe Van Linden joins the Department of Accounting in fall 2018 as assistant professor. Christophe earned his PhD in Accounting from KU Leuven in Belgium. He was also a visiting PhD student at the University of Florida during fall 2014. His teaching interests include financial accounting and auditing. Christophe has published several co-authored articles about audit quality and oversight of the audit profession and continues to pursue his research interests in the field of auditing. His current research has a particular focus on management practices of accounting firms and supply of assurance services.
Before joining Illinois State University, he was assistant professor at Belmont University (from fall 2015 until spring 2018) and lectured a graduate course at the University of Antwerp. He is an alumnus of Young Leaders Council Nashville and has served on the board of Music City Youth Orchestra. Prior to academia, Christophe worked as an auditor for PwC.
