ECAA Awards


Early Career Achievement Awards (ECAA) recognize younger College of Business graduates who have demonstrated innovative and responsible professional leadership, the potential for future distinction and a commitment to serving others. One honoree is selected from each College of Business degree program.

They return to campus to receive their award and share advice with current College of Business students through panel discussions during Homecoming Celebrations at Illinois State University. 


9:30 – 10:00 am | SFHB 412
Check-in, introduction, and networking with Department Chairs, other honorees and their guests, and members of the 2020 Business Week student team.

10:00 – 10:45 am | Departmental Conference Rooms
Department Chairpersons will meet honorees in the boardroom and then move to departmental conference rooms for interaction with faculty who will be interested in your insights on industry trends and practices that could impact student preparation.

10:50 – 11:15 am | SFHB 430 – Executive Classroom
College of Business Update – Meet with Dean Ajay Samant and Senior Development Director Liz Adams to learn about initiatives and priorities of the College

11:30 am – 2:00 pm | Homecoming Luncheon  |  Brown Ballroom, Bone Student Center

3:00 – 4:00 pm | ECAA Panel Discussions  | SFHB  |  Rooms 357 and 366

  • Room 357 –  Finance, Insurance, and Law and Accounting
  • Room 366 –  Marketing, Management and Quantitative Methods

4:15 – 5:00 pm | Award Presentation and Reception  |  Country Financial Lower Atrium

The Early Career Achievement Awards will be presented at a public reception in the COUNTRY FINANCIAL lower-level atrium directly following the panel discussion.
