After graduating from college, I entered full-time military service with the U.S. Army. During my four years in the Army, I deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq and reached the rank of Captain. After the Army, I worked in digital marketing for seven years before going back to school full-time at University of Oregon to obtain a PhD in Marketing. I now work as a marketing professor at Illinois State University.
