Dr. Edith Busija joins us in the Department of Management and Quantitative Methods at the rank of Instructional Assistant Professor. Her primary assigning for the time being will be to teach BUS 100: Enterprise. She has taught courses in management at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and Murray State University in Kentucky. She earned her Ph.D. in strategy at the University of Memphis, where her dissertation focused on governance in family business. She also holds a Master's in Management from Northern Illinois University and an undergraduate degree from UIUC. Dr. Busija has also taught management classes abroad in programs in Cyprus and the Wirtschaftsuniversität in Vienna. Edith (Edie) has extensive experience in restaurant management and the medical equipment manufacturing industry. Her research interests include strategy for small businesses, international expansion, and pedagogy for business students. She has presented her work at academic conferences including the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society.
