Dr. Dustin’s expertise is in leadership and negotiation. She is currently working on research projects in the areas of leadership, impression management, and team conflict management. She has published articles in several journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, and the Journal of Professional Selling and Sales Management. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Dustin worked for more than 15 years in a variety of sales and marketing management positions. She also has several years of consulting experience working with a wide variety of organizations. Her consulting work often focuses on sales training and development, including negotiation, for complex business-to-business selling situations.
Dr. Dustin has a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa, a M.B.A. from Northwestern University, and a B.A. from Grinnell College. She primarily teaches courses in ISU’s Organizational Leadership Sequence, at both the undergraduate and MBA levels, including Leadership, Negotiation, and Teams. She was recently awarded a 2016-1017 Illinois State University Research Grant.
