Daniel Engler joined the College of Business in August 2015 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Quantitative Methods. His research interests include technology strategy, innovation and cognition.
Previously he was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Management at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, City University of New York. He is also a Research Fellow at the Program on Vehicle and Mobility Innovation (PVMI) which is part of the Mack Institute for Innovation Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Professor Engler completed his undergraduate studies at the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He received an M.Phil. in Organization Theory and a Ph.D. in Strategy from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Prior to beginning his doctoral studies Professor Engler spent five years in industry, focusing on product innovation and market strategy at FIAT Group S.p.A. in Turin, Italy and Chicago, IL.
