Brandon Grant joined the Department of Management and Quantitative Methods as Instructional Assistant Professor in Spring 2017. Grant presently is a Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the School of Labor and Employment Relations. He is an ISU alum and holds a BS in MQM (HR Management Sequence) from ISU. He also holds a Master’s in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois. Grant has approximately 10 years of work experience in restaurant management as well as 2 years of career advising.
His scholarly research primarily focuses on labor and industrial relations, corporate governance and shareholder activism, stakeholder management and alignment, corporate social responsibility, and cooperation. Grant has presented papers (including 3 Best Papers) at academic conferences including the Academy of Management and the Labor and Employment Relations Association. His doctoral dissertation is on Labor Union Pension Fund Shareholder Activism.
