Doug Micklich teaches courses in Organizational Strategy (MQM 385), Business Organization and Management (MQM 220) and Environmental Management (MQM 340.16). He also teaches the introductory business course, Enterprise (BUS 100).
Micklich's research interests are in organizational strategy development, organizational cognition and business sustainability.
Micklich is published in The Journal of Private Enterprise and has articles in the proceedings of professional organizations such as The Association of Private Enterprise Education, The Association for Business Simulation and Experiential Learning and The Small Business Director's Association. He has also published a chapter on Information Management in Organizations with Cengage Learning and has contributed a chapter entitled, Strategic Implications of Causal Mapping in Strategy Analysis and Formulation in Causal Mapping for Research in Information Technology, with Idea Publishers.
Doug holds a Certificate in Strategic Management from SUNY through the American Management Association. He also hold an Masters of Business Administration (strategy focus) from Illinois State University. He also has a B.S.B.A from The University of Tulsa, double majoring in Organizational Behavior and Management Information Systems with an Economics minor.
