Admission to the Corporate MBA program is limited to holders of baccalaureate degrees from accredited institutions who demonstrate high promise of success in graduate business study.  Participants with non-business undergraduate majors will complete on-line foundation courses prior to starting the Corporate MBA program.


Criteria considered in the evaluation of applicants includes:

  • Performance on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)*;
  • Undergraduate GPA earned during the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate academic course-work;
  • Other indicators of potential for success in the graduate study of business including recommendations, and personal essays, as well as previous professional work, supervisory, customer service and international experience.

*Students have the opportunity to petition for a GMAT waiver based on certain circumstances.  A link to the petition form is below.  Interested applicants are encouraged to review the requirements and apply if they are interested.

Admission to any graduate program is contingent upon admission to the Graduate School of Illinois State University. Applicants need to complete an on-line Graduate School application, submit the application fee, official transcripts, personal statement, resume, two letters of recommendation, and GMAT results to the Graduate Admission Office.
