All MBA students are required to take the same nine courses. These courses improve technical knowledge, analytical abilities and interpersonal skills while establishing a background in business.
You may choose to focus on one area of business when choosing your three elective courses, or you may select courses from different areas.
Course electives are available in finance, international business, management, marketing, insurance, human resources, project management, organizational leadership and business analytics. We also continue to develop elective options that reflect the professional development needs of business, industry, and other organizations.
A list is always available from the MBA office.
International study is an opportunity to differentiate yourself from the competition when applying for a job. Employers are looking for applicants who have learned about other cultures firsthand, taken their language skills to the next level, and demonstrated the confidence to travel in pursuit of a goal. The Carson and Iris Varner International Business Institute was founded specifically to provide and enhance global business learning and connections for College Of Business students.
The College of Business has Summer and semester exchange program agreements with a number of universities in other countries. To explore these opportunities, contact Dr. Barbara Ribbens.
