What is it?
The Leadership Fellows Program gives selected juniors and seniors the opportunity to more fully explore leadership and to learn more about their own leadership style. Participants will participate in leadership activities with various leaders from local organizations (State Farm and GROWMARK). In addition, participants will engage in a one-on-one mentoring relationship with a manager from State Farm. Students will also complete a behavioral self-assessment and receive expert feedback regarding their style and the implications for leadership. A full description of each element of the program is provided below.
Who can participate?
The program is open to students of all majors in the College of Business. Students must be in their junior or senior year to be accepted into the program (graduating no later than May 2021). Students from all departments (Management, Accountancy, Finance and Marketing) have participated in the Leadership Fellows Program in past years.
What is the cost?
There is no dollar cost; all expenses are covered by a generous gift from ADM (Archers Daniel Midland). The experience is not for academic credit and is not part of your course schedule.
How do I apply?
You must complete and submit an application by the due date for full consideration. A current resume must accompany your application. Additional information or interviews may be required. Criteria used for selecting students will focus on co-curricular experiences on and off campus as well as an explanation of your interest in the program. Completed applications may be submitted either electronically via email or in hardcopy.
Applications for the Spring 2020 program are available at the Organizational Leadership Website. Applications are due Friday, December 13th, 2019.
