Current Position: Account Manager working inside sales with Computer Discount Warehouse (CDW).
Career Track & Achievements: Began with CDW in 2003 in Chicago. Soon after completing training, Melissa was promoted to the Account Manager position in New Hampshire where her responsibilities included selling technology to educational institutions. Her continued success at CDW has brought her back to Chicago where she is an Account Manager with the CDW-G division.
My Typical Day: Most days are dedicated to calling customers and responding to their e-mails in order to help them evaluate their needs and present them with the optimum solutions. In addition, Hanson also has vendor contacts that are called upon for configurations and pricing. Since CDW sells equipment provided by all the major computer and software suppliers, Melissa has an extensive list of vendor contacts that are part of her sales team.
