Pay It Forward Scholarship

 

The Pay it Forward Business Scholarship was established in 2015 by Ron Whitton '80, Paul Koch '80, Erick Miner '78, Gary Ritchie '83, Katie Hill-Gottesman '01, and Nate Webb '07 . The endowment was established for the purpose of providing financial support for business students actively engaged in leadership roles on campus. Preference will be given to students serving in a leadership position for a registered student organization affiliated with the College of Business. The goal is to help provide financial support for students working to improve their professionalism and career preparation. This scholarship supports Illinois State University's core values, specifically that of increasing student commitment to becoming engaged and active citizens, serving communities through volunteerism and leadership roles.

Two $1,000 dollar award will be made on a one-year annual basis. Scholarship funds will be disbursed through the Financial Aid Office after the 10th day of the fall semester.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate business major in good standing at Illinois State University.
  • Be actively engaged in a leadership role on campus.
  • Preference will be given annually to students serving in a leadership position for a registered student organization affiliated with the College of Business.
  • In lieu of scholarship support, students can choose to have the College of Business directly pay for costs to attend and participate in legitimate professional development opportunities such as a conference, certification tests, and specialized training.

All materials must be submitted online by the deadline to be considered.
