Societal Impact Statement
The College of Business impacts society by improving holistic well‑being through strengthening people’s capacity to thrive financially, professionally, and personally.
- Provide financial literacy support and solutions to all stakeholders including College of Business students, the university, the local organizations and local community as well as insurance-related risk management support, solutions and education to local, national and global organizations and communities.
- Provide support and solutions to local small businesses and nonprofits through the Innovation Consulting Community, Business Information Systems Capstone and thereby helping to sustain the local community.
- Improve the well-being of students and the local community through contributions to those in need ("service mindset") such as through Feed the Funnel, Pay It Forward donations, scholarships awarded.
- Provide support and well-being to all students, faculty, and staff via practices such as wellness programs and facilities such as the College of Business wellness shelf and wellness centers within the college.
The Societal Impact Statement of the College of Business aligns with Goals 1, 2, 3, 4, 8. 9 and 11 of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals.
