Management Internships
During the fall, spring, or summer semesters, students may participate in the departmental internship program. The benefits of student participation in the internship program include gaining on-the-job practical experience and increasing marketability when seeking full-time employment upon graduation. Additionally, many internship opportunities are paid, with many interns receiving job offers, contingent upon graduation, from their internship employers.
As interns, students earn academic credit while working in private, public, and/or nonprofit organizations on a variety of job duties, responsibilities, assignments, and projects. A senior-level internship (MQM 398) substitutes for one of the two major elective courses that students in the sequence are required to take to graduate with a degree in the major.
