Why Study Insurance - Business Information Systems?
Insurance allows policyholders the ability to shift the financial burden of unpredictable loss caused by natrual catastrophes and other perils. To facilitate the transfer of risk, insurers employ a variety of professionals to estimate policyholder premiums and manage financial resources to promptly settle claims when they occur. An important component to facilitate the provision of insurance is information technology and data management, creating a significant need for business information systems graduates.
