Sales and Marketing Job Fair

This Fall, the Illinois State University Professional Sales Institute is proud to again host our Meet the Firms career fair and networking event. An In-person, on-campus fair will be held on Tuesday - March 5, 202 from 4 p.m. to  p.m.at the Bone Student Center - Prairie Rooms, Illinois State University

Company representatives will have the opportunity to interact with students who are interested in pursuing careers in marketing analytics, sales, promotions, and other areas of marketing. Upon registration for the In-person  event,  we will share with you information on how to set up your sessions.

Illinois State University has an outstanding undergraduate Marketing Program in which students can pursue a general Marketing degree or specialize in one of four sequences: Advanced Marketing Analytics, Integrated Marketing Communication, Professional Sales, or Accelerated Advanced Marketing Analytics. We have over 800 students enrolled as Marketing majors. Our students complete three required courses in marketing, and then additional required and elective courses in the sequences.

STUDENTS – Meet companies that have various sales roles, such as Account Management, New Business Development, and Indirect Sales (Manufacturing representative selling to Distributors) roles. Find roles with outside territory sales or sales from an in-office environment, or remote. Most of these companies use a base salary, plus commission, and bonus compensation package. These companies have career paths with future opportunities like moving into the Marketing and / or training department, sales management, even a path for a Management Trainee internship to one day become the CEO – two attending companies have CEO’s in place that did begin their careers as a Management Trainee!

Industries Represented – Medical device, Insurance, Independent agencies, and broker; food processing commodities, vehicle rental industry in vehicles and/or commercial equipment, paint and coatings industry, industrial equipment and supplies. Information technology services, logistics, financial products provider, financial planner organizations, banking lender roles, and professional staffing services organizations, plus many more.
