Student Leadership Advisory Board

The Student Leaders Advisory Board (SLAB) is an organization comprised of the presidents of all RSOs in the COB. SLAB’s purpose is to share the student perspective with the Dean of the COB. They attend monthly meetings with the dean or other college leaders about issues within the COB that concern current and prospective students.

    Ella Sharp

    President

    Ella Sharp is a senior majoring in Marketing with a sequence in Integrated Marketing Communications and Advanced Marketing Analytics.

    Within the College of Business, Ella has served as the Vice President of Membership and the Vice President of Marketing for the professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi. She also was one of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Coordinators for Business Week 2024. Additionally, she has served as a mentor on four occasions, three times within Alpha Kappa Psi and once within Business Week.

    Beyond her involvement in the College of Business, Ella invests most of her time as a Resident Assistant for Manchester 16, also known as the Rainbow Floor. She also serves as the Hewett-Manchester Senator and the Secretary of the Assembly for the Student Government Association on campus.

    Ella is currently Web & Digital Experience Intern for Motorola Solutions, where she does webpage building and design, SEO blog writing and more.

    Ella is enthusiastic about her role in leading the College of Business during the 2024-2025 academic year. Her aspirations include not only representing the diverse student body within the College of Business but also advocating for the various communities and organizations it encompasses. As the SLAB President Ella aims to continue building relationships with all of the SLAB RSOs on campus and provide support in any way possible in her position.

    Ian McAllister

    Vice President

    Ian McAllister is a senior majoring in Marketing with a sequence in Professional Sales. Within the College of Business, Ian has served as Project Manager, Vice President of Professional Development, and President for the professional business fraternity, Pi Sigma Epsilon. He also was one of the Mentors for Business Week 2024. Additionally, he has served as a mentor on three other occasions, all within Pi Sigma Epsilon.

    Outside the College of Business, Ian dedicates much of his time as a licensed insurance producer for a local State Farm Agency. He is also the department head of auto acquisitions where he identifies how the team he works with can make the most impact in the community.

    Ian is passionate about his role as Vice President for the College of Business during the 2024-2025
    academic year and hopes to promote collaboration, support student initiatives, and enhance the overall student experience through the RSOs. Through his leadership, Ian hopes to build strong relationships with all RSOs in the College of Business and reinforce them in his position.

    Jack Brown

    Director of Event Planning

    Jack Brown is a Senior majoring in Finance with a minor in Financial Planning and Insurance graduating in the spring of 2025. Jack is from Belvidere, Illinois.

    At Illinois State University, Jack is involved within the College of Business through the professional business fraternity Phi Gamma Nu. He currently is serving as Progress Chair, monitoring the progress and personal and professional growth of the potential new members of the chapter. He has also served as
    the Digital Marketing Chair and Community Service Chair. Responsibilities of these chairs include producing video content for the chapter and organizing local community events. Jack’s most recent internship was with SupplyCore in Rockford, IL as a Finance Intern.

    For his time as Director of Event Planning of the Student Leadership Advisory Board, Jack’s goal is to coordinate successful events to increase registered student organization engagement organizations and student involvement with the College of Business. Jack is excited to give back to the students and
    encourages everyone to get involved.

    Trinity Kuehl

    Director of the Inter-Business Fraternity Council

    Trinity Kuehl is a senior Human Resource Management major who has been actively involved on campus since arriving in the fall of 2021. During her time at the university, she has been engaged not only within the College of Business but across campus as well, including being a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and serving as a Resident Assistant for University Housing Services in Watterson Towers.

    During her time in the College of Business, Trinity has taken on several leadership roles. She has served as Director of Rituals, Recruitment Chair, and Pledge Educator for Alpha Kappa Psi. In addition, she is involved in Business Week, where she serves as the Transition Seminar Coordinator.

    Trinity has also balanced work with her academic and organizational commitments. She is a Career Services Ambassador at the Bone Student Center, where she assists students with professional needs such as résumé and LinkedIn assistance. Currently, she is a Recruiting Intern at OSF HealthCare's Ministry
    Headquarters in Peoria, IL. In this role, she shadows HR staff, conducts phone screens, and reviews candidates for various positions.

    As the Inter-Business Fraternity Council Director, Trinity hopes to foster stronger connections between business fraternities and other RSOs on campus. She believes that with so many talented students in the College of Business, collaboration could elevate RSOs to new heights.

    Daniel Dolan

    Executive Secretary

    Daniel Dolan is a junior double majoring in Finance and Risk Management/Insurance with a Financial Planning minor from Park Ridge, Illinois. Since arriving in the College of Business in Fall of 2023, Daniel has been exposed to a variety of experiences that have allowed him to become involved here on campus.

    Within the College of Business, Daniel is an active member of the professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi where he currently serves as Fundraising Chair. He has also served as a mentor in both Alpha Kappa Psi and Business Week.

    Last summer, Daniel served as a Summer Contractor for AbbVie Pharmaceuticals in its Corporate Treasury department located in North Chicago. At AbbVie, Daniel assisted in managing the company’s property risk portfolio as well as the various insurance policy renewals.

    During his tenure as Executive Secretary, Daniel hopes to aid his fellow board members in achieving their own goals, provide the board with a unique perspective as a younger student, and give back to the College of Business through his involvement.
