Student Leadership Advisory Board

The Student Leaders Advisory Board (SLAB) is an organization comprised of the presidents of all RSOs in the COB. SLAB’s purpose is to share the student perspective with the Dean of the COB. They attend monthly meetings with the dean or other college leaders about issues within the COB that concern current and prospective students.

    Max Marcionetti

    President

    Max Marcionetti is a senior majoring in Marketing with sequences in Professional Sales and Integrated Marketing Communications. This is Max’s second year on the board as he served as the Director of IBFC last year. Max started at Illinois State University in Fall 2020 and has enjoyed being a part of the College of Business RSOs since his first semester on campus. He joined the professional business fraternity Phi Gamma Nu during his first semester. Max has held the position of Vice President of Marketing. He also joined the College of Business Social Media Team and is still on the team. Outside of the College of Business, Max has been a part of the Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Club on campus, where he held the Graphics Chair position where he was able to help the club improve its social media presence and create the practice jerseys and game uniforms.

    Max’s most recent internship was with Qualtrics where he was a sales development representative intern. He was able to live in Dallas, Texas for the summer and work on generating leads for the company. His day to day activities included prospecting, calling, and emailing. Max’s favorite experience at Qualtrics was the free lunch everyday as well as the work-life balance as an intern.

    Max is very excited to lead the College of Business for the 2023 – 2024 academic year and is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the College of Business, as it has given him so much. As President, Max hopes to increase the overall student engagement in the College of Business and continue to create an inviting and collaborative culture within the building.

    Joe Harrington

    Vice President

    Joe Harrington is a senior double majoring in Accounting and Finance graduating in the spring of 2024. Joe is from Roselle, Illinois and has plans to return to the Chicagoland area to pursue a career as a CPA. 

    During his time on campus, Joe has been involved in many different organizations. Joe served as President and Vice President of Fundraising for Delta Sigma Pi. He has also been involved in Business Week where he was the Professional Development Dinner Coordinator and is currently the Vice President of Professional Development. 

    Joe has also spent time working during his college career, including time spent as a macroeconomics tutor for the Julia N. Visor center, Process Improvement Intern for Country Financial, and an Audit intern for Plante Moran. Joe hopes to pass the CPA in 2024 and pursue a career in public accounting.  

    During his time as Vice President of the Student Leadership Advisory Board, Joe hopes to advance the relationships between the College of Business and the registered student organizations that stem from it.

    Ella Sharp

    Secretary

    Ella Sharp is a junior majoring in Marketing with a sequence in Integrated Marketing Communications and Advanced Marketing Analytics. Since her arrival on campus in the fall of 2021, Ella has actively participated in various College of Business Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) along with others across campus.

    Within the College of Business, Ella initially became involved with the professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi, where she first held the position of Vice President of Marketing. She now currently serves as the Vice President of Membership. Additionally, she is a member of Business Week, and is one of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Coordinators. Ella has also provided mentorship on three occasions, twice within Alpha Kappa Psi and once within Business Week, driven by her strong belief in assisting others as she was once supported when she arrived on campus. On top of that, she is also a student ambassador for Adobe for Illinois State University. In the Spring, she was named one of the Top 10 Nationwide Adobe Event Champions.

    Beyond her involvement in the College of Business, Ella invests most of her time as a Resident Assistant for Manchester 16, also known as the Rainbow Floor. The Rainbow Floor is an LGBTQ+ Themed Living Learning Community. She actively contributes to planning LGBTQ+ events and advocating for the community both on campus and within the College of Business. In addition, she serves as a crew member for Redbird Productions, where she helps broadcast the Illinois State University athletic events to the Valley on ESPN3. Ella's most recent internship was as a Marketing/Communications Intern for the Sycamore Community School District, where she had the opportunity to design merchandise for the district and create various posts for their social media platforms.

    Ella is enthusiastic about her role in leading the College of Business during the 2023-2024 academic year. Her aspirations include not only representing the diverse student body within the College of Business but also advocating for the various communities and organizations it encompasses. As the SLAB Secretary, Ella aims to continue building relationships with all of the SLAB RSOs on campus and provide support in any way possible in her position.

    Hailie Hahn

    Director of the Inter Business Fraternity Council

    Hailie Hahn is a Senior Human Resource Management major. Hailie has been heavily involved in the College of Business since her Freshman year. She held many positions consisting of President, VP of Marketing, Professional Chair, and IBFC Chair within her Business Fraternity, Phi Beta Lambda. In addition to her involvement in Phi Beta Lambda, she also has been a Mentor in the Business Week program for 2 years. She now serves as the Director of the Inter Business Fraternity Council (IBFC) within the Student Leadership Advisory Board (SLAB) as well as the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Event Coordinator on the Business Week Team.  

    Hailie was a Management Intern at Penske (Fortune 500 company) this past summer. She has also competed at both a state and national level for interview competitions through her Business Fraternity. Currently she is a Recruiting Intern at OSF HealthCare at OSF’s Ministry Headquarters in Peoria, IL; within this role, she is actively shadowing HR staff, conducting phone screens, and reviewing candidates for positions. 

    Hailie is extremely excited to take on this role as Director of IBFC. Since she has been Phi Beta Lambda’s IBFC Chair for two years prior to taking on the role as Director, she is eager to make IBFC as helpful as she possibly can to the Business Fraternities. Her main goal is to truly encourage collaboration between all four of the Business Fraternities. She believes by working together, we are able to expand our networks and create more opportunities for College of Business students.

    Ryan Russell

    Director of Event Planning

    Ryan is a Sophomore majoring in Marketing with a sequence in Professional Sales, and a minor in Organizational Leadership. Ryan currently serves as the Vice President of the University Program Board, a College of Business Social Media Marketing Intern, the Vice President of Brotherhood on the Interfraternity Council, a Student Life Senator in the Student Government Association, the Vice President of Sigma Pi Fraternity, and a Trivia Night Coordinator for Business Week. Outside of his involvement on campus he likes to be around friends and just have a good time.

    Ryan looks forward to being able to put on fun and successful events for the 20 College of Business Registered Student Organizations and for the College of Business Students. The big event he is looking forward to planning and coordinating is the annual SLAB Gala that happens in the Spring.
