The basic curriculum is designed to thoroughly acquaint Marketing majors with the broad field of marketing and to allow focused study in narrower subfields, depending upon the students' interests and aptitudes. Students may choose Marketing electives from one or more of the following six career-track concentrations: Advertising/Promotion, Business/Industrial Marketing, Marketing Research, Retailing/Distribution, Selling/Sales Management, and Services Marketing.
Why Study Marketing?
Marketing personnel are concerned with the design, promotion, price and distribution of the products, services, ideas, and experiences. Marketers work to determine what people want, and work with consumers to fulfill those desires. Marketing rewards creative expression, thoughtful analysis, creative thinking, empathy, and understanding.
