Junior Standing Scholarships & Awards

  • Outstanding Junior in Marketing Foundation Award

    For a junior or first semester senior majoring in Marketing with a 3.5 GPA or higher and less than 90 hours completed, must have outstanding qualities in leadership, service, and citizenship; $500. Candidates meeting the minimum GPA requirements are formally invited to apply each spring. Marketing faculty votes to select the recipient.

  • Delta Nu Alpha-James Katschke Scholarship

    For a junior or first semester senior majoring in Marketing with a 3.2 GPA or higher, strong qualities in leadership, service and citizenship, and less than 90 hours completed; $400. Candidates must have finished high school as a resident of a town in Central Illinois. Candidates meeting the GPA and residence criteria are formally invited to apply. The Central Illinois Chapter of Delta Nu Alpha (a professional organization focusing on marketing, distribution, and transportation), with help from the Marketing faculty, selects the recipient.

  • Outstanding Marketing Student, St. Louis Chapter of A.M.A.

    For a junior or senior majoring in Marketing with a 3.0 GPA or higher and who has provided the ISU Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association with outstanding leadership and service; candidates must have earned at least 75 hours and be a dues paying member of the ISU Collegiate Chapter of the AMA; $300. The faculty advisor to the ISU-AMA Chapter selects the recipient.

Senior Standing Scholarships & Awards

  • Outstanding Senior in Integrated Marketing Communication Award

    The Outstanding Senior in IMC is a student selected by faculty members whose primary teaching area is in the IMC sequence, based on the student's academic performance and potential in the IMC profession.

  • Marketing Program Scholar

    For the graduating senior majoring in Marketing with at least 100 hours completed who has earned the highest grade point average among his/her peer group; $500. The recipient is identified and contacted by the Marketing Department chairperson; in case of a tie, the student with the superior service activity profile is selected.

  • Ron and Cathy Whitton – Dentsmart Outstanding Senior in Marketing Award

    For a senior majoring in Marketing with at least a 3.5 GPA and at least 90 hours completed; $2,000. Senior candidates meeting the minimum GPA requirement are formally invited to apply for this award each spring.

Additional Marketing Scholarships

  • Paragon Marketing Group Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship Award

    For a first year student or sophomore Marketing major with a commitment to diversity and inclusion and an interest in pursuing Sports Marketing as a career. The scholarship is sponsored by the Paragon Marketing Group. Other criteria are demonstrated financial need, strong leadership abilities, upstanding character, full time status (minimum 12 credit hours per semester), and a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The scholarship is for $2,500.

  • E.V. Jones Service Scholar Award

    Open to a member of the ISU Delta Omega Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon with a 3.5 GPA or higher; $300. The award celebrates salesmanship and helping society. Award winners are determined based on service to the Delta Omega Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon and/or service to the community. Marketing department faculty will choose the recipient of this award.

  • Vern McGinnis American Marketing Association Scholarship

    For a junior or senior interested in a Marketing career with at least a 3.0 GPA and an active member of AMA. Other criteria are demonstrated leadership in campus and/or community activities along with commitment to civic engagement through meaningful involvement in community service and civic activities. This award is for $2,000 and is to be given each year.

  • The William and Nancy Yarger Student Professional Development Award

    The William and Nancy Yarger Student Professional Development Award has been established to enhance student professional development by helping to defray the costs of attending a regional or national leadership conference for one or more worthy student leader from a student organization housed within the Department of Marketing. [To meet the requirements for this award, the recipient(s) must be a student leader planning to attend Illinois State University the next academic year.] Applicants must be in good academic standing, and be selected to a leadership position in one of the following organizations: the ISU-American Marketing Association, Delta Omega Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon, and/or the Sports Marketing Student Association.

  • EMBolden Endowed Scholarship for Women in Marketing

    The EMBolden Endowed Scholarship for Women in Marketing was established to assist current Marketing majors who are actively participating in paying for their education while focusing on their studies, as well as participating in campus or community based organizations. Applicants must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours during both the fall and spring semesters, demonstrate involvement in school and/or community activities and/or have substantial work history, and be actively engaged in a leadership role on campus. Beginning in 2024, this annual award increases to $5,000.
