Carson & Iris Varner International Experience Award

  • Trevor Nigus

    Trevor is a Junior in International Business and German is currently completing a study abroad experience at Universitat Paderborn in Germany. His work with RNL as a student fundraiser for ISU and participation in WACA’s Worldquest in Washington, D.C. has helped him realize his interests in languages, people, mentoring, and international sales. When at ISU, Trevor has participated in IBA (International Business Association), Big Red Marching Machine, and as a coach for Illinois Valley Central High School Scholastic Bowl JV team.

  • Jeremy Tang

    Jeremy is a Junior in International Business and Economics with a minor in German. He completed an internship with IMA, Hong Kong and studied abroad at Universitat Paderborn in Germany. Jeremy is involved in St. Baldrick’s Bald Birds, ISU Tour Guides, and College Democrats. He has a 4.0 GPA and is a part of Beta Gamma Sigma, Sigma Lota Epsilon, Delta Epsilon Phi (German Honor), and Delta Epsilon Phi (Deutsche). He also received a scholarship from DAAD (German Academic Exchange).

  • Maïlys Bateman

    Maïlys is a Senior in International Business who grew up as a “Third Culture Kid” (lived in England, Japan, France, and the U.S.). During her sophomore year, she studied in France and has recently completed an international internship in Australia. Maïlys is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority and an International Orientation Leader where she mentors newly arrived international students to ISU. She is also a mentor with the Mentoring Adjustment Program.

International Business Service Award

  • Lilian Alexandrova

    Lilian is a Senior in International Business and Economics. She worked for Kuehne + Nagel in both Barcelona, Spain, and Chicago. Lilian has a 4.0 GPA, was a Bone Scholar nominee, and is currently in Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society, International Business Association, ISU Mock Trial Team, Circle K, and Spanish Club.

Outstanding Senior in International Business

  • Megan Asher

    Megan is a Senior in International Business, East Asian Studies, and French. Megan has a 4.0 GPA, was a Presidential Scholar, and is involved in the Honors Program. She is the President of the National Pi Delta Phi French Honors Society and is also heavily involved in service through the International Business Association, Zeta Theta Pi Service Sorority, and Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society.

Outstanding Junior in International Business

  • Noel Kristen Schieler

    Noel is a Junior in International Business and Spanish. She was a recipient of the ISU Pay It Forward Scholarship in 2017 and 2018, and the ISU Hoon Mok Chung Scholarship. Noel has a 4.0 GPA and is involved in the International Business Association and International Talk Time. Presently, Noel is studying abroad at ITESM in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico and interns at Fiesta/ReguLAB, as a designated U.S. FDA Agent.
