The Department of Management and Quantitative Methods (MQM) develops motivated students into professionals who excel in today’s dynamic and challenging business environment. The MQM department operates within the College of Business (COB) an institution experiencing rapid growth and increasing recognition. Among other things, we are: One of 187 business schools in the world to have both business and accounting accreditation by AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

AACSB accreditation assures high quality and promotes excellence and continuous improvement in undergraduate and graduate business programs. Most recently ranked as one of the top 75 Best Undergraduate Business
Schools in the Nation by Bloomberg Businessweek and the second-highest ranked college in Illinois.

Illinois State University remains among the top 100 public institutions in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report. According to the latest rankings, Illinois State is 91st among public universities by continuing to demonstrate its level of excellence with 33 percent of classes with fewer than 20 students. The University’s graduation rate continues to be far above the national average.
