The Professional Sales Institute at Illinois State University advances the profession of personal selling and sales leadership by providing high-quality education, research, and consulting programs for students and business professionals.

The Learning Center provides opportunities for students to hone their individual presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
The Center provides video systems for both individual and group sales presentations including video editing, playback, and an area for debriefing. This suite of rooms represents our most advanced learning support environment.
The Focus Group room in the College of Business provides observation and multimedia capabilities that allow students to pursue marketing research through conducting group interactions with videotaping and presentation capability. This specialized facility represents one of the most advanced learning labs between Chicago and St. Louis.

The Business Education major at Illinois State University combines the solid foundation of a business degree with preparation of teachers in business, marketing and computers. It is the only program in Illinois approved by the Illinois State Board of Education and accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) to offer a degree program that qualifies graduates for certification in business for grades K-12.
The Marketing faculty have designed the Advanced Marketing Analytics (AMA) Sequence to allow Marketing Majors to concentrate their coursework in preparation for marketing roles that may require more analytical rigor which has become prevalent. The use of analytics is expected to grow rapidly.
